My Story:The most important thing in my life is my husband Mark Lentczner. I live in a co-op house called Ozone with Mark, my son Kyle, and my friend Martha. Mark and I were married on May 3, 1997. I was born on April 1st, 1967 and grew up in San Diego, California. There I learned programming before I learned long division, which is appropriate since I work for Intel. I also went to Samuel Gompers Secondary School, class of 1985. When I went to Gompers it was nerd heaven, but now it has been hit by the No Child Left Behind hammer. I have no idea what happened since I left. I spent seven years getting both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at UC Berkeley before deciding that what I really wanted to do was logic design, computer engineering and computer architecture. So I left with the master's degree and went to work at Intel. I left Intel in 2005 to be a stay-at-home dad and Mark went to work at Linden Lab working on the virtual world Second Life. Mark and I have been trying to adopt for years. Our previous fost-adopt child, Cory, didn't get to stay with us. But now we have a cute little boy named Kyle who we adopted in October of 2002. Five years later we adopted his sister, Kimberly. |
